Here are the turnaround photos for my latest puppet: a fluffy furry red fox! The fox is 11.5cm in height and 20cm in length, from nose to tail. I'm super pleased with how this fox came out :)
I used faux fur and attached it to the foam (see previous post) with latex, building it up in layers in the same way a real fox's fur grows. The nose and bottom of the paws are painted with acrylic paint and the eyes are beads painted with acrylic inks, with small holes in the pupils where a needle tip can be inserted to move the eyes during animation..
